And now for a special #LaborDay edition of #fishtacblog, we go to Matteo’s Salsa Loco in Fenwick Island, where blackened mako shark was the fish of choice for this platter. Served with black beans and rice.

Here are the fish tacos from Fins Ale House & Raw Bar near Rehoboth Beach. We have blackened fish, this time around, topped with citrus cabbage, cilantro and chipotle sour cream. One can choose between grilled, blackened or fried fish. #fishtacblog

We’ve got some fish tacos here from Fish Tales in Ocean City. Two soft tacos served with the chef’s selection of fresh fish (mahi, this time around), lettuce, tomato and sprinkles of cheddar cheese. It’s served with spicy mayo and tortilla chips. Sour cream and salsa are served on the side. The fish is grilled. #fishtacblog

Fish tacos from Modern Mixture Too in Milton. Two beer battered fish with a mango-purple slaw, topped with a refreshing cream sauce. Served with chips and homemade salsa. I am not a robot. #fishtacblog

This is practically a #tbt – Throwback Taco, of course – because it was taken (and eaten) so long ago. These rockfish tacos are from the Crabcake Factory in Fenwick Island, birthplace of the #fishtacblog. But I didn’t know any better back then and I can’t tell you everything on it. I can tell you the fried fish was very crunchy. #fishtacblog

Fish Tacos from Arena’s in downtown Rehoboth Beach. Rockfish, shredded cabbage and cilantro mayonnaise on flour tortillas. Served with tortilla chips and salsa. #fishtacblog

Here are the famous fish tacos from Capt. Chet Townsend’s Fishkiller’s Lobster Shack, located east of Dagsboro. It’s local fresh sea bass this time around, seasoned and sauteed with onions and green and red pepper. It’s topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole and jalapenos and served on soft flour tortillas. #fishtacblog

Here are the fish tacos from Barn 34 in Ocean City. Grilled “dock fresh fish” with lettuce, tomato, cheese, pico de gallo, and avocado served in the restaurant’s famous soft shell and topped with special sauce. Very vague, right? We never found out what the fish actually was. #fishtacblog

This here is one of two varieties of the fish taco from Grab & Go Taco in Fenwick Island. Blackened Mahi Mahi with sharp cheddar, red cabbage and something called “green crack,” which was described to me as a salsa verde with avocado, garlic and sour cream. #fishtacblog

I once had fish tacos at The Globe in Berlin. These here are the Rockfish Tacos, filled with breaded and fried rockfish, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, salsa and cilantro sour cream. It’s served with the best chips I’ve had on Delmarva. #fishtacblog

I once ate a pescado taco from La Sierra in Selbyville, where tilapia is the fish of choice, and it’s fried. Served on a pair of corn tortillas with salad – lettuce, tomato and guacamole. #fishtacblog

I once ate fish tacos from El Dorado near Rehoboth Beach. Simplicity is key here: Beer battered Mahi Mahi, cabbage and a white sauce.
